Carbon steel angles are hot-rolled or high-strength low-alloy steel rods in the shape of a 90-degree “L” bar. The sides or legs of the “L” can be equal or unequal. Other names for carbon steel angles are angle irons or steel angles.

Structural angles are often used in applications that contribute to rigidity and good resistance to bending in any direction. You’ll find carbon steel angles in heavy construction like bridges, warehouses, pylons, and buildings. Carbon steel angles are also used for lighter items, including bed frames, chairs, benches, and other furniture.

A Steel Channel is a C-shaped & U-shaped Structure made from Mild Steel that is hot rolled. The inside corners of the steel channel have specific radii that provides it the required strength and rigidity to support steel angles, and for various other structural and construction projects. They are fairly easy to prepare with the right equipment and dimensions. Steel Channels commonly follow the dimensional standards of ASTM 36. Post hot-rolling, the Steel Channels are generally subjected to additional inline fabrication.

Roll forming is the process of continuously bending a metal strip as it goes between a series of rollers, also known as supports, that distort a piece of the metal until the required shape is attained.
